4T, owned by the mobile operators Nuuday, Telenor, Telia and 3, and Telenor Linx announces that the parties have entered into a five-year agreement for a Mobile Payment Platform for the Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) market in Denmark. The platform, managed by Telenor Linx, is the hub connecting all Danish MNOs and service and content providers offering their users to pay via their mobile bill or prepaid account.
4T needed a new platform vendor for mobile payments, positioning the company for the future. Direct Carrier Billing enables secure and frictionless payment for all mobile subscribers.
“Telenor Linx was the best match for us in our growth ambition. It’s important for a local player like us to partner up with a large global DCB platform provider knowing the Danish market as Telenor Linx. Running the DCB service as a Platform as a Service (PaaS) from Telenor Linx, gives us a cost-efficient way to access industry best practices. We have high expectations and are confident that Telenor Linx is our right partner for the future”, says Henrik Lindberg Moesgaard, CEO of 4T.
“We are very pleased that 4T has chosen our managed DCB platform service, partnering up together for the future. Telenor Linx platforms are built by Telco for Telcos which puts us in a prime spot for delivering cutting-edge capabilities to 4T and the mobile operators. With our experience we are supporting and enhancing the strict Danish market rules protecting the mobile operators and end users. We are eager to partner with 4T to bring the Danish DCB offering to the next level and a solid position for the future”, says Stig Waagbø, CEO of Telenor Linx.
For DCB, Telenor Linx has a portfolio of more than 80 service and content partners representing over 150 connections, partnering with big app stores, streaming services, e-books, games, wallets, ticketing, dating etc. Telenor Linx is continuously investing in the award-winning DCB platform to stay ahead and meet market needs, gaining synergies and delivering economies of scale.
